Many people have asked me recently why I chose run4life as my site name? I've heard, you must really like that Melissa Etheridge song. NO! that is not why. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that song, and I still to this day can not get through listening to it without breaking down. I can relate to every word of that song, and when I feel like I just can't go another step, I either play the song, or start singing it to myself, and I keep on going.

My reason for it is just that I DO run for life.

I run for my life. Since starting team in training my whole life has changed, not only have I made some of the best friends ever, but I also have a new extended family. A family of those that I have met and talk to often now, and a family of fellow runner who I have not met who mean the world to me as well. PLUS, I am getting stronger and healthier everyday. I'm starting to finally lose weight, my knees, all though they are a constant battle are getting a little better everyday, and most importantly I am still cancer FREE!!!!

I run for all! I could just take the easy way out and pay the registration fee and run these same races that I am doing. It's really not that much, but God spared me for a reason. I strongly believe that one of those reasons is to help in the fight against cancer. It's a horrible disease that has taken too many lives and it's time to put an end to it. So by joining LLS and raising money I am taking a small part in the huge fight against cancer.

I run for Hope! It is my hope that one day we live in a world free of cancer. Till then I will keep on running and I will keep on raising money, and I will keep on fighting. As a new friend on facebook told me today who is also a survivor, NOTHING!! will stop me.

Stay tuned.

Run for You, Run for Fun, Run4Life
